TRAINING PACKAGES
Unlike some other consultants, I do not sell a “system.” I provide all kinds of negotiations training, from ‘one on one’ coaching, to large group presentations, to complete training packages.
The training packages I deliver have been developed for specific audiences, and any of them could be presented for you if they meet your needs. However, I prefer to listen to you and can tailor negotiation training to meet your
particular situation.
PACKAGES AVAILABLE:

"Bargaining Tools for Newer Negotiators"
Training in concepts and skills designed to equip participants to negotiate successfully. This training is a four month mixture of 3 face to face days of training with additional on line activity and skill development between sessions.
This training is targeted to organizations and companies with a need to develop the skill base of groups of members/employees who negotiate.

"Women Negotiators Step It Up"
Negotiation basics for women that will help them gain confidence and know how to level the playing field. It all starts with shaking hands!

"Interest Based Negotiations"
Unilateral or bi-lateral training in the interest based model of negotiations. This training can be used to help develop your team’s understanding and skill, or can help two parties prepare to negotiate using the interest based model
successfully. When I do interest based training within the education association world, I do so in conjunction with NEA affiliates and their staff unions. However, I would not be opposed to training or facilitating others in the process.
"Negotiation Research"
A quick shot look at some of the current research in the field of negotiations presented as tips for greater success.

"Leadership Lessons from the Bargaining Table"
Leadership training for individuals involved with negotiations. This is a fun look at how negotiation skills transfer to leadership and vice versa. Participants learn a bit about both.

"Negotiating a Solution to Your Problems"
This process begins with gathering required information to form the basis of a value building negotiation. This process is a hands-on, facilitated, problem solving learning opportunity. While your solutions are not guaranteed, you will
learn ways to turn problems into opportunities. |
COACHING
Coaching involves listening and observation. It also can involve modeling and shaping behaviors, brief “just in time” training, offering alternatives and asking questions to help guide thinking. I can coach individuals or coach
teams involved in negotiations.
FACILITATION
When two parties to a negotiation agree, I facilitate bargaining processes. That facilitation involves selecting the process to be used, keeping participants true to the process, moving the agenda so that they are making good use of time,
and charting conversations and decisions.
While there’s some security that derives from my presence as a neutral observer, I will not “mediate” the substance of the negotiation except in very limited circumstances. I mediate only if it appears that the bargaining
process is getting stuck, both parties agree to ask for my assistance in that way, and I feel I can be of some help without compromising my relationship with either side. Depending on the circumstances, I may suggest that the parties seek
the services of a Federal Mediator.
CUSTOMIZED SERVICES
Every situation and personal need can be different. It may be necessary to combine several services or modify existing services to accommodate your special situation. With my expertise in consulting, this is no problem. We can create a
package that is just right for you and your circumstances.
IMPORTANT NOTE
I offer discounted work for those in the education field, and will not accept any work that runs counter to the best interests of education, educators and education support professionals. |
